12.5m Pescott fire blade open deck sailing Catamaran
If you know Prescott Cats you’ll know a long pedigree of OMR racing and fast cruising hulls.
We have finished this boat for an owner who has a super lightweight racer/cruiser catamaran hull. We finished the deck gear, and the design calls for stringent OMR racing rule weight optimization. So we build a super light Vacuum infused laminated interior, benchtop, and cupboard fronts for the galley, navigation area, Saloon, and heads in each hull.

Faired and painted lightweight interior
The interior was faired and finished in a satin to minimize weight and make it low maintenance, quick and simple to clean. No headliners just a quality paint finish. So a heavy marine ply fit out of Saloon and Navigation area did not make sense.
-
Racer / cruiser deck gear fit-out.
All the deck gear was fitted as specified by the designer with some clever tweaks to reduce complexity so it can be managed single/ double-handed or with a full crew in Offshore Multihull Racing Rule mode.

Sail away fit-out
Installed tramps and Dyneema lifelines and finally stepped the mast ready to sail away safely. This owner wanted the boat fitout ready to sail south to Sydney, where he could complete the interior details trims himself. The reason he brought the boat to us was we understood his desire to keep weight to a minimum and were able to get it sailing at a reasonable cost relative to quotes he got in Sydney..
