Andrew Roake the owner of Roake boats is not much good at talking about himself, he lets his sailing and boatbuilding do the talking.
He has an extensive racing and cruising  CV starting in New Zealand, including major international regattas and passage races worldwide with a number of successful sailing crews.
Andrew likes to give back to sailing and is a regular feature on the Gold Coast where he coaches and instructs young sailors, as an Australian Sailing Association qualified instructor
Andrew has lived in and around the Gold Coast for 12+ years during which time he ran the production floor of a major houseboat building business “Eagle catamarans” for a good friend.  His friend retired a few years back and cruises on an offshore hulled houseboat around Australia.
Andrew bought the moulds and tooling for the houseboats from Eagle cats, and has built and outfitted boats for owners since starting Roake Boats some 17 years ago.
