Major rebuild of a classic wooden motor cruiser

This was a multi-million dollar rebuild to restore a big old cruiser to her former glory. Unfortunately, I don’t have great photos to tell the story but the detailed timberwork was extensive. The main deck beams and coach roof structural beams had to be laminated I think we did over a hundred beams in total.

Here you can see the laminated beams being assembled as part of the new coach roof. There are very few boatbuilders left in Australia who can deliver major timber rebuilds on this scale today.

I list this just to illustrate the scale of Timber project we can handle here at Roakeboats.
